“Because play is serious work for little people.”

Early Childhood Educator / Key Worker

Leesa is an Early Childhood Educator, Key Worker and trauma-informed therapist, with extensive experience supporting children and families through complex developmental and emotional needs.
She works alongside families to navigate behaviours, school readiness and transitions, sleep and routines, skill development, and counselling support, always taking a practical, strengths-based approach.

In her role as a Key Worker, Leesa provides guidance and oversight of NDIS plans, helping families feel confident, supported and informed as they coordinate services and work toward meaningful goals. She draws on a wide range of therapeutic tools and strategies to support regulation, connection and long-term development.

Leesa is currently completing her qualification as a Play Therapist, further strengthening her child-led, relational approach to therapy. As a parent to four neurodivergent children, she also brings invaluable lived experience, insight and empathy to her work-supporting families with both professional expertise and genuine understanding.

Leesa sees clients at Food Play Grow Tuesday-Friday and supports home and school visits within a 30 minute radius of Hastings.
